What an honor it is to serve as president of Preferred Funeral Directors International in 2021-2023. For many years, I have benefited from the discussions, debate, and camaraderie I have enjoyed with other PFDI members, who represent some of the finest funeral care professionals in the world.
The ability to learn from other members and our higher educational opportunities has greatly enhanced my work at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland, TX. In turn, I have been able to offer my decades of funeral home knowledge to my colleagues at PFDI. It has been a rewarding, reciprocal experience.
Our industry has faced radical change in recent decades, and many funeral homes are struggling to maintain, let alone grow. Never has it been more important for those of us who are leaders in our field to come together, analyze, conceptualize, and create. Let’s move forward together and continue to enhance and advance the funeral service industry.
